Excellent food, impeccable service and employees that go above and beyond. Wish we had one of these places back home!

All I ever eat here are the salads, but all my friends who have sandwiches really enjoy them as well. The app makes ordering easy and quick for pick up in order to maximize social time talking with friends rather than putting in the order and waiting. So relaxed atmosphere not too loud, and comfortable.

I have been here twice now. Both times I ordered soup both times it was barely warm. I also ordered stuffed potato both times which was barely warm. Each time they forgot to being everything we ordered (only 2 people). Won't waste my time or money

Great iced tea... and that unfortunately is where it ended. I have a muffuletta sandwich and they were real skimpy with everything. My wife's sandwich same thing, skimpy amount of meat for the price. I can make a better sandwich at home.

Food has been hit or miss of late. Sometimes it's good, some times it's just so so. Still a great place to go to for lunch and the outdoor seating is nice.

We walked in needing to feed a party of 10. Marcus was super helpful and was able to pack up 10 box lunches for us pretty quick. Even though they usually require 24 hrs notice he was super accommodating and friendly. Thank you so much Marcus!

The food is delicious but the service is lacking. One day we waited over an hour for a call-in order. Then when we got the order it was all wrong. If their service improves so will my rating. Otherwise I love their sandwiches, potatoes & soups!

This is a solid place to come grab a meal. French dip and the big nasty are both good. She liked her BLT, but it is better untoasted or it is too hard. Unsweetened tea is very good here. The pick two menu makes the variety great.

Decent and quick food, but over priced. Their menu is too big. Which could be good or bad depending on your opinion. The cashiers were curt and fairly useless. When asked what salad was the best she said "I don't like any of the food here." Also, when they messed up my mom's order who has a sever mold allergy ( aka gorgonzola and blue cheese ) they just re-did her sandwich. Seriously, we had to run to Walgreens to get her allergy meds because it was messing with her beathing. They apologized, but that's it. The kids liked their mac and cheese. My Savannah salad was tasty and fresh. My husband liked his Reuben sandwich. Overall a mixed experience. So when you eat here be cautious.

McAlister's atmosphere and food were highlights for me. It is a pretty big place with a lot of room so people aren't too bunched up. It seemed like it constantly had a line, but people got their orders through fairly quickly and the employees were courteous. Food was delicious! I got the Cobb Club and mashed potatoes on the side and it was really yummy. I saw quite a few things I want to try here so I will definitely be back.

First off, I'm a fan of places with soups, sandwiches, and salads, so any review of places that has all three (plus carrot cake, in this instance), is going to be slightly biased towards unabashed love, in general. I play favorites with my food choices, I'll admit it. I'm not ashamed. So McAlister's is apparently a chain, though all the cities in which I've lived outside of Reno have not been large enough to have decent chain restaurants (read: something other than Taco Bell, Sonic, or McDonald's), so I wasn't aware of that fact, and had never been to one of the other restaurants as a result. I have to say, though, I am a fan of this one. They have a nice selection of sandwiches, available grilled or not, with all kinds of goodies on top. I ended up getting a roast beef with horseradish and cheddar that was pretty good grilled, with the vegetable soup, which was very, very good, and some carrot cake for dessert, which was surprisingly tasty. (I say surprisingly, because I'm a bit of a cream cheese frosting snob, so if the carrot cake doesn't have a homemade style frosting, I am not a fan. This one definitely had a decent homemade, thicker rich taste, so I got my cream cheese frosting fix for the day. In fact, they could have just given me a tub of the stuff, and I would have been as happy as a dog getting it's belly rubbed.) The servers are basically all college-age kids, but they all are extremely helpful and polite, and offer free refills while you sit (the iced tea is awesome), along with busing the table for you when you're finished. Really, a nice touch, since you wouldn't expect that in a place that serves you from an ordering bar area and doesn't wait the tables. I was really, really happy with the service, because, let's face it, who doesn't like someone else to get you more to drink and take away your garbage for you, all with a smile? Definitely going back here again on my next visit to Grand Junction. And definitely getting more carrot cake.

Love McAlister's Deli's broccoli cheese soup and french dip! Always very tasty. This one was very busy at lunch time so it took quite awhile to get my food but I think that was due to the volume. A busy place is always a good sign. Customer service was moderate.

I've been coming here since they opened right down the street from me. The staff is perky and cheerful because they've been trained that way, but I'm OK with that. You order at the counter and they bring your food to your table when it's ready. I usually get a sandwich a side and tea. I've had the muffeleta, the rueben and just tried my son's favorite, the new smoky pepper jack. Everything tastes fresh and is well made. It's crowded with business types at lunch, but the place is well run so you can get in and out quickly if you need to. The sweet iced tea tastes like the real thing from down south, and they offer free refills. If you're tired of lunching with people in dirty jeans, trucker hats and t-shirts, this spot may lift your spirits. One of my favorite lunch spots.

Great spot for a quick lunch. Service here has always been great. My mother really enjoyed the soup of the day and i liked the vegetarian chili on a spud. Vegan tip: The vegetarian chile on the spud minus the cheese (Spud Ole, i think) is pretty tasty but you may want to order onions, salsa, tomatoes, or something because it was a tad dry.

First of all, this is not a real deli, but you're not going to find a real deli in Mesa County anyway. At McAlister's, you walk up to a counter and order, they hand you a number and your drink, then then you're supposed to go find a seat. I went at 1:30 p.m. on a weekday, and there were no tables available, so I had to stand in an aisle with my drink and my number. There were tables outside, but it was about 35 degrees out there -- not attractive. Finally some tables became available, but the staff wasn't very quick to clean them off, so I had to endure more standing and waiting. I ordered soup and salad. Both were good, but there was not a matzo ball in sight. (See first sentence: this is not a real deli). It was indeed a quick lunch, as other reviewers have stated, cost under $7.00 and tipping appeared to be optional, since you essentially wait on yourself and I noticed other people weren't leaving them. The truth is, I did little more than shop and throw a ball for my dog after lunch, and by 3:30 p.m., I was hungry again. That brings me back to #1: this is not a real deli. A meal from a real deli would hold you all afternoon.
